Gravel Driveway Installation, Resurfacing & Regrading

Build it right so it lasts.

Precision Land Services installs and refreshes gravel driveways with proper base prep, compaction, and drainage so you’re not fixing the same ruts after every storm. We handle new installs, resurfacing/top-dress, base rebuilds, regrading/crowning, and culvert/ditching when water is the problem.

What We Do

  • New Driveway Installs — base build-up, compaction, crown, and tie-ins
  • Resurfacing & Top-Dress — restore the surface and traction
  • Regrading & Crowning — shed water to the sides instead of the wheel tracks
  • Base Repairs — cut out soft spots, rebuild with suitable aggregate
  • Driveway Widening & Apron Tie-Ins — clean transitions to the road or garage
  • Culvert Install/Replacement (when needed) — protect the approach and stop washouts
  • Material Hauling — we deliver and place the stone as part of the job

Our Process

  • Site Visit & Grade Check — measure slopes, identify soft spots, and plan drainage
  • Base Preparation — add and compact base where needed for support
  • Crowning for Drainage — set the proper crown so water runs off the drive, not down it
  • Culvert & Ditching (If Required) — size, bed, and set culverts; shape swales/ditches to move water away
  • Final Rolling — compact for a tight, even finish

Materials: We recommend aggregate based on base condition, traffic, and budget; often a road-base mix with fines for compaction. We’ll review options during the estimate.

Common Problems We Fix

  • Ruts & Potholes returning after rain
  • Standing Water or soft, pumping areas
  • Washouts near the road edge or culvert
  • Low Spots at the garage apron or along the drive
  • Poor Transitions where the driveway meets the road

Drainage Matters

Most driveway issues start with water. If your approach floods or washes out, we can add or replace a culvert and reshape ditches/swales so water flows correctly.

(For more on this, see our drainage page once it’s live.)

FAQs

Many resurfacing jobs finish in about a day; new installs vary by length and amount of base work.

It depends on the existing base and traffic. During the estimate we’ll recommend a compacting road-base and discuss surface options.

Some towns/counties require approvals for new or replacement culverts at the road. We’ll advise what’s typical and coordinate where required.

We schedule quickly based on scope, weather, and site access.
